Refund & Returns Policy

At Chickadee 3D Design, many of our products are 3D printed specifically for each order. We take great care when producing and checking your items before they are dispatched.

Change of Mind Returns

Please choose carefully, as we do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for change of mind.

This includes situations where the incorrect size, design, colour or product has been ordered and the item supplied matches the order placed.

If you are unsure about a product before ordering, please contact us before placing your order and we will be happy to help.

Custom & Personalised Products

Custom, personalised and specially requested products cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Custom cookie cutters and stamps
  • Personalised names, wording or designs
  • Business logos
  • Customer-supplied designs
  • Custom sizes or special requests
  • Products designed or modified specifically for your order

Where a design mock-up is supplied, please check all details carefully before approving it. Once a custom design has been approved and production has started, changes may not be possible.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please email info@chickadee3ddesign.co.nz and include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos showing the problem

We will review the issue and, where applicable, arrange a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

If an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied by us, Chickadee 3D Design will cover reasonable return shipping costs where a return is required.

All Items Care

All Chickadee 3D Design products are 3D printed and require appropriate care to help maintain their quality and extend their lifespan.

ALL ITEMS ARE HAND WASH ONLY — NOT DISHWASHER SAFE.

To care for your products:

  • Hand wash only in lukewarm, soapy water
  • Do not place in a dishwasher
  • Do not place in an oven or microwave
  • Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C
  • Do not soak in water for extended periods
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and excessive heat
  • Allow items to dry completely before storing
  • Store in a cool, dry place

Please note that 3D-printed products may warp, soften or become damaged when exposed to excessive heat.

Items that become warped, melted, cracked or otherwise damaged as a result of misuse, incorrect washing, excessive heat, improper storage or failure to follow the above care instructions are not considered faulty.

This does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Sale, Clearance & Promotional Items

Sale, clearance and promotional items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges.

This does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act if an item is faulty or does not meet the applicable consumer guarantees.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method.

Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process and display the refund.

Original shipping charges are not refundable for change-of-mind situations.

Order Cancellations & Changes

As many of our products are printed specifically for each order, please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your order.

Once production has started on a custom, personalised or made-to-order item, we may not be able to cancel or modify the order.

If an order has already been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.

Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Please do not send an item back without contacting us first.
